At This Little Mug of Mine, we embark on a thrilling journey of trading and upgrading, to selling then finally donating. Starting with a humble mug to ending with a serious payout item that helps out a new local charity each month. Our mission is simple yet exciting - to see how far we can trade up, to help out a local group all while having a blast along the way.
HOW IT WORKS
Each month, we kick off the process by posting the mug for trade. Interested traders send direct messages with their offers, featuring photos and description of their item, along with its estimated value. After evaluating and selecting the most appealing trade, we switch the item for the next day’s trade.
But that’s not all! In the last week of each month, we begin the auction of the final item, which continues until the second last day. The final day of each month is reserved for the presentation of the cheque, where 50% of the auctioned item sale price goes to the featured charity.
RULES & CONSEQUENCES
We value fair and respectful transactions among our winning traders and bidders. These rules are in place to ensure a positive experience for all participants.
COMMENTING RULES
1. **Comment Section Use:** Use the comment section for ONLY positive comments about the item, tagging and indicating that you've sent a direct message (DM) offer. Please refrain from posting any trade offersl. Keep the comments section tidy and free from clutter.
2. **No Self-Promotion:** Avoid mentioning that you also own a particular item and are willing to trade or sell it. Let's focus on trading with the item posted.
3. **No Member-to-Member Trading:** This page is intended for trading with the page owner only. Do not engage in trades or transactions with other members. Our focus is on the monthly trading challenge.
4. **Be Respectful:** Treat fellow traders with kindness and respect. Harassment, spam, or disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated.
5. **Stay on Topic:** Keep discussions related to the current item up for trade.
6. **Report Issues:** If you come across any violations of these rules or encounter any issues, please report them to the page administrator.
7. **Don’t Waste Time** When initiating a trade through direct messages (DM): • Include a clear photos of the item you’re offering. • Provide a concise description of your item, highlighting any unique features. • State the estimated value of your item to facilitate fair and transparent negotiations.
TRADING AND BUYING RULES
1. **Item Accuracy:** All items must match their description and the provided photos. Transparency and honesty are key.
2. **Item Valuation:** Provide a fair and accurate estimated value for your item in trade offers and auction listings.
3. **Item Availability:** Items must be available for display on the day of their auction, which is typically the second last day of the month. The trader has until noon of the auction day to complete the trade.
4. **Kick Off Mug:** The selected trader for the initial mug of each month will not receive the mug until after the cheque presentation, as it will be used in the ceremony.
5. **Auction Payment:** The winning bidder of the auction has a strict 24-hour window from the sale of the item to make the full payment.
6. **Item Pickup:** Traders and winning bidders are responsible for picking up their items. Be sure to arrange for convenient and safe exchange locations.
7. **Communication:** Maintain clear and open communication throughout the trading process to ensure a successful exchange.
CONSEQUENCES OF RULE VIOLATIONS
1. Comment Removal: If a comment violates our rules (e.g., posting trade offers in comments), it may be removed by the page administrators.
2. Account Warnings: Repeated violations may result in a warning from the page administrators. We aim to educate and remind members of our rules.
3. Temporary Bans: For more serious or repeated offenses, we may impose a temporary ban on your account. This is to encourage compliance with our rules.
4. Permanent Bans: In cases of severe or persistent rule violations, a permanent ban from the page may be necessary. This is a last resort to protect the integrity of our community.
